Dominica - hiking again

On our last day in Dominica we decided to go on a hike again, though not as long as the last one. We started out in a swampy area with lots of crabs but also may large lizards:
We then found a path going up a mountain side. Soon we were deep into the woods. Here is a coconut that has just germinated:
At the bottom of this trunk there is a termite nest. The dark bands on the bark are tunnels built and used by the termites so they can travel on the tree without being eaten by birds or lizards:
We passed a small river. Here we stopped and ate our lunch:
